Why do this?
This site is an alternative to expensive MMS messaging to blogs. Since it can be used from anywhere in the world, it is a great way for travelers to update their friends and families on their lives while they are away via their blogs. They can avoid internet cafes and such just to post to their blogs.
It is also great for people often on the go or when you REALLY want to blog that very instant; you can do it from anywhere, a nightclub, school, wherever you have signal. :-)
Why is my SMS post not showing up?
Assuming you are registered, please make sure your phone number is in the proper GSM international format.
USA users who have a (555) 454-5555 style phone number should input +15554545555 to make it proper GSM international format. If you are sure the number is correct though, make sure you typed in the correct login and password to your blog.
If you still have problem, email me admin (at) letmeparty.com or use the contant form.
Why do my SMS posts have funny characters in them and get reposted?
GOOD NEWS! THIS IS NOW FIXED!
I finally got about to fixing the back-end of the site and multipart messages of any type work fine now! No more strange characters or duplicate posts!
Currently the SMS server I use doesn't support long-messages very well. So MAKE SURE YOUR MESSAGES ARE 160 CHARACTERS OR LESS!
If you still have problems though, email me admin (at) letmeparty.com or use the contant form.
If the message is longer that 160 characters, it is split into two SMS's and gets processed very wierdly and acts funky. So just avoid long-sms's for now and it should be fine until I figure something out.
Your website looks absolutely terrible in Internet Explorer.
Yes, I noticed that; and frankly I don't care. I worked hard to make the website look good, made sure it is compliant with the W3C for xHTML and CSS and every competent browser renders the page just fine (Firefox, Opera, Safari).
IE refuses to play nice and I'm too busy with school and work to spend a month breaking standards to coax IE into rendering my site correctly. Sorry to any of you using that browser. But give Firefox a shot. It is my favourite, fast, secure and extendable. :)
